Kanakavalli Santhanam describes herself as a seeker in the fields of Sanskrit, Music and Dance. With a Bachelors in Sanskrit and a Masters in Sanskrit and Music, understanding ancient Indian culture, tradition, philosophy, mythology and literature forms the broad canopy of her studies. She is a visiting faculty at the Department of Sanskrit, University of Mumbai. She is also a trained Carnatic vocalist and a Bharatanatyam dancer.
