Ram Kelkar

Ram Kelkar(B. Tech, C '80, EE) currently heads Capital Markets and Trading at Milliman in Chicago, and has worked for over 25 years in the financial markets, after beginning his career as a chip designer in Silicon Valley. He is a recipient of both the Distinguished Alumnus Award (2014) and Distinguished Service Award (2012) from IIT Bombay. Ram is the Co-founder, current Trustee Emeritus and Former President of the IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation (IITBHF), Apart from IIT Bombay, Ram is a MSCS ’82 from UW-Madison, and MBA ‘87 from The Wharton School. His interests include hiking, mountaineering and travelling, and writing for rediff.com and India Abroad
