Rishi Sanwal

Rishi Sanwal (IITB – B.Tech (Mech), 1999) is currently working for the United Nations Disaster Management Team (UNDMT), as a District Coordinator in the disaster-struck state of Uttarakhand. He is based at Rudraprayag and helps the district administration in coordinating the activities of various government and non-government agencies involved in post-disaster rehabilitation work in and around Kedarnath. Rishi had earlier worked on rehabilitation after the Bhuj earthquake. He published the book “The Bhuj Story” based on his experiences there. Ask him if we should look forward to “The Kedarnath Story”, and he gives a mystical smile “Not everything in life can repeat. After all, I met my wife Nidhi Tewari in Bhuj!”
